We have now digested the full detail of the Government’s roadmap for reopening the country. As you may have seen, hospitality businesses, including accommodation, are unable to open until we reach step 3 of the Government’s plan (outlined in their roadmap), and only then when it is safe to do so. The Government’s current position is that this will be no earlier than July 4th.
We are therefore working towards hopefully reopening our cottages and campsite in July.
We are reviewing the ever-changing situation daily and will continue to keep you informed should this date change.
These decisions have not been taken lightly and are done so in order to protect the best interests and wellbeing of our customers, ourselves and the wider public.
We will continue to keep you informed in this ever-changing situation.

We aspire to run our properties in as environmentally friendly manner as possible, we wash all the bedding in house using eco friendly washing power and our home is fitted with solar panels to run the washing machine then air dried.
Sustainable tourism is something that we are passionate about, by choosing to 'staycation' you are already cutting your carbon footprint. In our cottages you will find reusable cleaning cloths, eco friendly cleaning products and refillable soap and washing up liquid dispensers. We provide recycling facilities so that guests can properly recycle their waste. We appreciate your help too by reducing the amount of waste you produce and bring to our properties to help us aspire to becoming zero waste. The only thing we are unable to recycle is glass as Northumberland County council do not provide a glass collection. Therefore we ask that if you do bring glass please take it away with you to the nearest glass recycling point. In Bamburgh that is in the main car park below the castle and for Ireby and the campsite on our farm the nearest point is the car park at 'The Sun Inn' on the way into Morpeth.
As well as running the family farm taking care of our flock of rare breed Ryeland Sheep my husband and I manage all aspects of running the cottages. We carry out most of the cleaning, take care of the bookings and maintenance ourselves. So we are always happy to help and you can be reassured of high standards of service and attention to detail.
