If you're looking for a Family friendly simple off-grid site, in the heart of Northumberland, to enjoy a well-earned break with a clear view of the night sky, then we've got a pitch for you. Fresh air, the gentle sound of bird song, idyllic countryside views, fields dotted by sheep, well spaced pitches with easy access along a well maintained private farm track. Toasting marshmallows over one of our fire pits and genuinely being able to switch off by going to sleep watching the stars. If you are up early enough you may also catch sight of some deer before a pleasant walk in the countryside or a days sightseeing visiting The Whitehouse farm centre, N1 Crazy Golf, Kirkley Hall Zoo, Hadrians wall or one of the many Castles and beaches of the Northumbrian Coast all within a short drive. Our farm is 3 miles from the historic market town of Morpeth in the beautiful Northumbrian Countryside.
We are a Camping and caravan club members only certified site so you will need to be members to come and stay unless you are staying in our belle tent which is run separately to our campsite. If you are not currently a member please visit the camping and caravan club website
Membership costs from as little as £41 and gives you access to over 1400 certified sites like ourselves plus many other club benefits.
Please note that due to location we operate as an Eco off grid campsite so no electric pitches. Although we do not have wifi on site we are in a good area for mobile phone and tv reception so picking up a signal shouldn't be a problem. Worried about going off grid? Follow this link for our top tips to camping off grid ...
The camping field is an old pasture meadow surrounded by mature trees in a quiet location away from the main farmyard. There are many wild animals in the area including deer, badgers, foxes and birds. The fields around our campsite are grazed by our pedigree rare breed coloured ryeland sheep.
We are happy for you to bring well behaved pets but please do not leave them on their own or allow them to bark all the time and it is very important that you keep them on a lead at all times.
"Please Note - this is a quiet family friendly site, groups, loud music or rowdy behaviour are not tolerated at any time and you will be asked to leave. We operate a strictly no noise rule between the hours of 10.00pm and 8.00am". Although we are a quiet site, during the school holidays and weekends we often have a small number of pitches with children so if you prefer to be on a site with no children, we recommend you avoid weekends and school holidays.
We provide recycling facilities so that guests can properly recycle their waste. We appreciate your help too by reducing the amount of waste you produce and bring to our properties to help us aspire to becoming zero waste. The only thing we are unable to recycle is glass as Northumberland County council do not provide a glass collection. Therefore we ask that if you do bring glass please take it away with you to the nearest glass recycling point located at the car park at 'The Sun Inn' on the way into Morpeth.
Facilities - Please note we are an off grid site so cannot offer electric hook up
