Tranwell Farm Caravan and Camping Club (members only) Certificated Site

If you're looking for a simple off-grid country retreat, in the heart of Northumberland, to enjoy a well-earned break with a clear view of the night sky, then we've got a pitch for you.  Fresh air, the gentle sound of bird song, idyllic countryside views, fields dotted by sheep, well spaced pitches with easy access along a well maintained private farm track.  Toasting marshmallows over one of our fire pits and genuinely being able to switch off by going to sleep watching the stars.  If you are up early enough you may also catch sight of some deer before a pleasant walk in the countryside or a days sightseeing visiting Hadrians wall or one of the many Castles and beaches of the Northumbrian Coast all within a short drive.

We have recently been granted permission by The Camping and Caravanning Club to open a certified site here on our farm 3 miles from the historic market town of Morpeth in the beautiful Northumbrian Countryside.  We have been licensed for up to 5 caravans or camper vans and up to 10 tents.  As a Camping and caravan club certified site you will need to be members to come and stay, we can however easily sign you up to be members when you arrive.

Please note that due to location we operate as an Eco off grid campsite so no electric pitches.    Although we do not have wifi on site we are in a good area for mobile phone and tv reception so picking up a signal shouldn't be a problem.  Worried about going off grid?  Follow this link for our top tips to camping off grid ...

The camping field is an old pasture meadow surrounded by mature trees in a quiet location away from the main farmyard.  There are many wild animals in the area including deer, badgers, foxes and birds.  The fields around our campsite are grazed by our pedigree rare breed coloured ryeland sheep.

We are happy for you to bring your pets but please do keep them on a lead at all times.

Please Note - this is a quiet site suitable for guests wanting to relax and enjoy the peace, groups, loud music or rowdy behaviour are not tolerated at any time and you will be asked to leave.  We operate a strictly no noise rule between the hours of 10.00pm and 8.00am.
